My name is Ryla Manalang, I am a personable and driven recent journalism graduate with experience in content strategy with LA Times Studios and college newspapers. 

As a journalism graduate, my background includes editorial newsroom reporting, extensive research, seeking sources and multi-media content strategy. As former Lifestyle editor for el Don News, I am experienced in all areas of writing. I have written and edited articles in every vertical including business, sports, fashion, investigation, opinions and more. At my time in this role, I was also a photographer and captured my own images for my pieces. 

In addition to my newsroom experience, I was a Content Strategist Intern for LA Times Studios earlier this year. Here, I conducted interviews, wrote articles and expanded my knowledge on internal tools including SEO optimization. 

I am also well versed in content creation and social media management with previous and current employers. Currently , I create on-screen content and manage social media accounts.

In all of my roles my goal has always been to use my strong communication skills to engage audiences, and drive brand growth. My strengths also include being adept at collaborating with teams to produce compelling narratives that resonate with readers.
